How Non-Profit Groups Request Computers from VCN
The Vancouver Community Network has a limited number of surplus computers and related equipment that it can donate to worthwhile non-profit organizations.
These computers are provided AS-IS, without any commercial software, but the hardware is tested before it is distributed. Recipients will need to install
an operating system for the computers to be usable. In special cases, VCN may supply a free Linux operating system.
This operation is entirely run by volunteers; the rate at which computers are prepared may vary widely, since volunteers work on varying schedules. For this reason, the preferred means of communicating is by email, so please supply an email on the application form, if possible. When replying back to us, please use the original Subject line, so our system can track the emails.
