PREREQUISITE: Helpdesk Checklist Level 1 When you have experienced all of the following tasks, then you have completed this level.
Dialup
- Using an external modem and Ubuntu, configure and setup system to connect to the Internet
- Using the MRTG graphs, dial into VCN when the lines are full
- Using the helpdesk computer, step through the instructions for setting up a Windows XP connection
- Using CAP computer, step through the instructions for setting up a Mac OS X connection
- Look up Dialup Networking error numbers on google.ca
- Send & pickup email on Outlook, Pine, and Squirrelmail
- Set up spam filter on Outlook, Pine, and Squirrelmail
- Resolve an email relaying error
- Resolve a request related to a blocked email account due to oversize inbox
